Japan-born make-up artist Kanako Takase moved to New York at 22 after graduating from beauty school in Tokyo and spent four years as first assistant to the make-up artist Yadim. She has keyed runway shows for Saint Laurent, Hermès, Bottega Veneta and Max Mara, worked on campaigns for Saint Laurent, Louis Vuitton and Marc Jacobs, and in 2019 was named Global Creative Director of the Japanese cosmetics brand ADDICTION.
