What should you know about the problem it solves?
OPI built RapiDry around what it calls "smudge-stration" — its own term for the smudged, not-quite-dry manicure that ruins a fresh coat of polish before it’s had time to set. The formula pairs "Drip Dry Drops" with fast-acting solvents for a claimed 60-second dry time and up to 5 days of wear with two coats. It’s applied with a Speedy Rush Brush carrying roughly 200 extra bristles in a wider, fanning shape, designed to pick up and spread pigment faster and more evenly than a standard brush.

What should you know about the range?
OPI relaunched RapiDry as a full range in January 2025, through parent company Wella Company: 30 lacquer shades across crème, shimmer and glitter finishes, plus a dedicated 3-in-1 clear coat that can function as base coat, top coat, or a glossy final layer on its own. The formulas are vegan and described as "9-free," meaning they exclude nine ingredients commonly restricted across the nail-polish industry.

Why is RapiDry Quick-Dry Lacquer in the Beauty Desk edit?
This is a practical addition for backstage and travel kits, where a manicure often has to dry between calls rather than under a lamp. OPI is a professional nail brand owned by Wella Company, and RapiDry is positioned as a mainstream problem-solver — fixing the smudged, soft manicure — rather than a limited seasonal collection.
