Red carpet / Models off the runway

Models on the red carpet.

What the models we rank wear when the runway is a red carpet: film festivals, galas and award nights, with the designer, the occasion and the photograph credited every time.

How we work: people are identified from each photograph’s own record; designer credits link to the fashion press or the house; no body commentary. Photographs are credited on every look and on Image credits.

FAQ

The red carpet, answered

What does The Cast Index cover on the red carpet?

The looks fashion models wear at film festivals, galas and award nights, event by event. We currently cover 22 looks by 22 models across 2 events, each with the designer as reported by the fashion press or the house, and a link to the model’s profile and Index Rating.

Where do the red-carpet photographs come from?

Every photograph is freely licensed, usually from Wikimedia Commons, and credited to its photographer with its licence on the look and on our Image credits page. We identify people only from the photo’s own record, never by guesswork.

How are designer credits checked?

Each designer credit links to the fashion press or the house that reported it. When no outlet reported who made a look, the page says the designer was not reported rather than guessing from the silhouette.
