What is in No.3 Hair Perfector?
No.3 is the at-home expression of Olaplex’s bond-building story: a treatment meant to reduce breakage and restore the look of strength from inside the strand. The brand is explicit that it is not a protein treatment and not a hydrating mask. If the hair needs moisture, that is a different product after you shampoo.
In February 2026 Olaplex published guidance that Nº.3PLUS Complete Repair Treatment is the newly formulated replacement, used for up to three minutes in the shower. That successor is not this review. Bottles labelled Hair Perfector still follow the ten-minute pre-shampoo method in the No.3 manual.

Who is No.3 Hair Perfector best for?
Hair as silhouette weeks need fibre that holds a shape — sleek, cropped, or controlled volume — without snapping. No.3 is maintenance between salon bond services, not a substitute for a colour-service additive. Fine hair still uses it before shampoo; the brand’s later 3PLUS copy talks about mid-lengths to ends, but that is the other formula.
If a listing only shows 3PLUS, read the name on the pack. This desk will not pretend the two products are interchangeable.
