Bond Shaper is built on Olaplex’s newly patented Bond Shaping Technology, centred on a proprietary peptide built from 23 amino acids that penetrates to the hair’s cortex and reconnects up to six points along broken disulfide bonds. It extends the brand’s original, well-documented Bond Building Technology — the same disulfide-bond chemistry Olaplex patented at its 2014 founding — into the brand’s first major product line built specifically for curl repair rather than general damage repair. Coconut-avocado milk and a Curl Retention Compound round out the formula, aimed at fortifying strands while helping curls hold their shape and shine.

What should you know about the salon service?
This is explicitly a professional, in-salon treatment rather than a retail product, delivered in three steps. Step 1, Repair, is applied and processed for 10 minutes at the professional-strength concentration of Bond Shaping Technology. Step 2, Enhance, is sprayed on and processed for another 10 minutes, acting as a catalyst that boosts penetration and locks in Step 1’s work. Step 3, Define, is distributed root to tip to create a curl-defining "cast" using the stylist’s preferred technique.
