Who runs Paris and Milan Fashion Week?

Paris is run by the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode (FHCM), which coordinates both Paris Fashion Week and Haute Couture Week. It has three committees, for haute couture, womenswear and menswear. The couture committee continues a chamber established in 1911; the womenswear and menswear chambers were founded on 8 October 1973. Our Paris Fashion Week guide covers the history.

Milan belongs to Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana (CNMI), a non-profit association that coordinates and promotes Italian fashion. Its forerunner was set up in Rome on 11 June 1958. CNMI publishes the Milano Moda Donna and Milano Moda Uomo calendars and owns the Milano Fashion Week trademark. See our Milan Fashion Week guide.

When are Paris and Milan Fashion Week in 2026 and 2027?

Milan comes first. For spring/summer 2027, Milan ran 22–28 September 2026 and Paris 28 September–6 October 2026: see Milan SS27 and Paris SS27. For autumn/winter 2027–28, CNMI lists 23 February–1 March 2027 and the FHCM 1–9 March 2027.

Menswear runs earlier in the year: 15–19 January 2027 in Milan, then 19–24 January in Paris. Paris also has two haute couture weeks that Milan does not, on 25–28 January and 5–8 July 2027.

Which houses show in Paris and Milan?

Milan’s SS27 calendar opened its first day of shows with Prada and went on to include Fendi, Gucci, Dolce&Gabbana, Bottega Veneta, Giorgio Armani and Max Mara, among more than 60 runway shows and more than 80 presentations.

Paris’s SS27 calendar listed about 100 shows and presentations, including Christian Dior, Chanel, Saint Laurent, Louis Vuitton, Hermès, Balenciaga and Miu Miu. Line-ups change every season, so check the official calendars before you plan anything.

Can the public go to Paris or Milan Fashion Week?

Not to the official shows. CNMI says Milano Fashion Week events are by invitation only and warns people to beware of adverts selling tickets. The FHCM’s calendar marks almost every show and presentation “by invitation”.

You can still watch. Many shows on CNMI’s calendar are marked “live”, and the FHCM labels shows that are livestreamed and posts replays of the week on its own site.
