Fashion Week 2027

Jakarta Fashion Week was first staged in 2008, initiated by Femina Group with backing from the DKI Jakarta Tourism Office and Indonesia’s two established national designer associations, APPMI and IPMI. The inaugural edition, held at Pacific Place Jakarta, featured 47 designers — a figure that grew quickly, reaching 108 designers in 2009 and 159 by 2010.

The week moved venues as it grew, relocating to Plaza Senayan and later Senayan City between 2012 and 2019, before a 2019 rebrand under new ownership by GCM Group introduced a new logo and identity. It adapted to digital broadcasting during the COVID-19 disruption of 2020–2021, and has run from Pondok Indah Mall 3 since 2022.

Jakarta Fashion Week is billed as the largest fashion event in Southeast Asia, with participation growing to roughly 270 designers in recent editions — a scale reflecting Indonesia’s position as one of the region’s largest garment and textile economies. The week continues to run in partnership with the Indonesian Fashion Chamber.

Editions are named for the following year: JFW 2026, the 18th, opened on 27 October 2025 at City Hall, Pondok Indah Mall 3, and closed on 2 November 2025. More than 100 designers took part under the theme “The Legacy of Style”, alongside the JFW Fresh Faces programme — 30 new models chosen from 150 candidates at the JFW 2026 Model Search casting — and searches for make-up artists and hairstylists.

Established names returned to the runway too: Paula Verhoeven and Kimmy Jayanti walked together in a collection by Ayu Dyah Andari with the Central Kalimantan provincial government. JFW 2027 is scheduled for 26 October–1 November 2026 at the same venue.
