About the directory

Who are the most influential people in fashion and beauty?

There is no objective list. For models, the Global 50 ranks influence on published evidence and a public method. For everyone else, this directory profiles people with a public, sourceable record, grouped by discipline and country, without ranking them.

How does someone get a profile here?

We profile people with a public record we can check: official sites, fashion-week and prize organisers, museums and reputable press. Every fact on a profile links its source, and nobody pays to be included.

Do you include makeup artists, hair stylists and stylists?

Yes. The directory includes 16 makeup artists, 4 hair stylists, 8 stylists and 17 photographers alongside models, designers and creative directors.

Why do some profiles have no photograph?

We only show photographs we are licensed to use. Where none exists, the card shows the person’s initials rather than a stand-in image.

Can I suggest a person or correct a profile?

Yes. Send the person’s name and a public source through the contribute page, or use the corrections page for an existing profile.
