Next: Jakarta Fashion Week 2027 (Jakarta, 26 October–1 November 2026) and Rakuten Fashion Week Tokyo AW27 (Tokyo, 15–20 March 2027).

How the circuit fits together
How Asian weeks line up with Paris
New York, London, Milan and Paris fix the international season in February–March and September–October. Most Asian weeks sit around that relay rather than inside it. Tokyo shows spring/summer at the end of August, before New York opens, and autumn/winter in mid-March, after Paris closes. Seoul runs in early February and early September. Beijing’s China Fashion Week follows in late March and early September, and Shanghai in late March and again in October, after Paris.
Southeast Asia keeps its own year. Jakarta Fashion Week runs once, at the end of October, and names each edition after the following year, so JFW 2027 takes place in 2026. Indonesia Fashion Week, KL Fashion Week and Jogja Fashion Week fall in July and August, and Bangkok’s week in October. Their editions are named by year rather than by spring/summer or autumn/winter season.
If you follow online, time zones matter as much as dates. Jakarta and Bangkok run on UTC+7; Shanghai, Beijing, Hong Kong, Taipei and Kuala Lumpur on UTC+8; Seoul and Tokyo on UTC+9; and Mumbai and New Delhi on UTC+5:30. None of them changes its clocks, so the gap to London or New York shifts by an hour when Europe and North America do.
Public access is narrower than social media suggests. Most catwalk shows in Asia, as in Paris, are by invitation. The public routes are the ones organisers run themselves: Tokyo’s and Seoul’s ticket lotteries and livestreams, Shanghai’s public weekend programme, Hong Kong’s free-entry CENTRESTAGE and registration-based events in Jakarta. A ticket offered by a stranger is not one of them.

Asia fashion weeks, answered
When is Shanghai Fashion Week 2027?
- Shanghai Fashion Week had not announced dates for its autumn/winter 2027 season when we checked on 22 October 2026. It usually opens in late March: the AW26 season ran 25 March to 1 April 2026. The latest season, SS27, held its catwalk shows from 8 to 16 October 2026.
When is Jakarta Fashion Week 2027?
- 26 October–1 November 2026, at City Hall, Pondok Indah Mall 3, according to the organiser. Jakarta Fashion Week names each edition after the following year, which is why JFW 2027 takes place in 2026.
Which is the biggest fashion week in Asia?
- There is no agreed measure, and none of the organisers we checked claims the title for all of Asia. Jakarta Fashion Week describes itself as the biggest and most influential annual fashion week in Southeast Asia, and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council calls CENTRESTAGE Asia’s premier fashion event. On published counts, China Fashion Week’s autumn 2026 edition had more than 220 brands, and CENTRESTAGE 2026 about 270.
Is China Fashion Week the same as Beijing Fashion Week?
- No. China Fashion Week (中国国际时装周) is run by the China Fashion Association; its autumn 2026 edition ran 3–10 September in Beijing. Beijing Fashion Week is a separate, city-run event whose SS2027 edition ran 7–17 September 2026 on Wangfujing, according to the Beijing municipal government.
Can the public attend fashion weeks in Asia?
- Some programmes, yes, but most catwalk shows are by invitation. Tokyo and Seoul ran public ticket lotteries and livestreams for SS27, Shanghai runs a public weekend programme, CENTRESTAGE in Hong Kong is free to enter, and parts of Jakarta Fashion Week open with registration. Use the organiser’s own channels, never a reseller.
