When was Copenhagen Fashion Week 2026?
Copenhagen Fashion Week SS27 ran from 3–7 August 2026 in Copenhagen, Denmark. Venues, cast and beauty teams vary by house.
02 / History
Merging two trade fairs
Copenhagen Fashion Week in its current form dates to 2006, when two older Danish clothing trade fairs — Dansk Modeuge (Danish Fashion Week) and Dansk Herremodeuge (Danish Menswear Week), both with roots stretching back to the 1950s — were merged into a single, unified event.

The Danish Fashion Institute
The week is organized by the Danish Fashion Institute, a non-profit whose funding comes roughly 15% from public sources and 85% from commercial partnerships. Its official program runs over four days of runway shows, presentations and events, staged alongside two adjacent trade shows, CIFF and Revolver, which bring buyers and wholesale business to the same week.
04 / History
Toward binding sustainability standards
Under CEO Cecilie Thorsmark, the organization established Futurum, a dedicated sustainability advisory institute, in 2018. It published its first formal set of minimum sustainability requirements for participating brands in 2020 — initially a voluntary benchmark — before converting those requirements into a binding condition of appearing on the official schedule starting in 2023. The standard requires that at least 50% of a brand’s collection be composed of certified, preferred, up-cycled or recycled materials, alongside documented due diligence across the supply chain.
