Soft Pinch Liquid Blush suspends pure colour pigment in a weightless, transparent base, formulated with a botanical blend of lotus, gardenia and white water lily intended to soothe and nourish skin as it wears. The brand’s core pitch is application simplicity — true-to-tone colour that blends with just one dot — and the formula is vegan, cruelty-free, paraben-free and allergy-tested for sensitive skin, with up to 12 hours of wear that layers over both liquid and powder foundation without disturbing what’s underneath.

Bloomberg reported the original shade alone had sold roughly $70 million worth by July 2022, and trade outlet Glossy describes Soft Pinch as the brand’s most popular franchise, since expanded into a lip oil stain, a powder blush and a liquid contour. It won an Allure Best of Beauty Award, and was among the earliest breakout viral beauty products on TikTok.
Selena Gomez founded Rare Beauty in September 2020, naming it after her album Rare, having spoken publicly for years about her own mental health, including in the 2022 documentary My Mind & Me. The brand co-founded the Rare Impact Fund the same year it launched, committing 1% of all Rare Beauty sales toward a $100 million goal supporting youth mental-health resources.
