Why Anok Yai holds #1
A Balenciaga Haute Couture open-and-close, a Fashion Awards win, and the cross-house consistency that explains the score.
By The Cast Index Desk · Editorial
Anok Yai leads the current Global Index at 97.9, the highest Index Rating on the board. The scores behind it are unusually even across all four pillars — 98 runway, 97 campaigns, 98 editorial, 100 cultural — which is rarer than a single spike in any one category.
The runway pillar is doing the most work: Yai opened and closed Balenciaga Haute Couture and walked Chanel and Schiaparelli couture this year, the kind of house-anchoring booking pattern the runway weighting is built to reward. Gucci Monte Carlo and Chanel pre-fall campaign work, alongside British Vogue and Vanity Fair editorial credits, carry the other two pillars.
The closest challenger is Vittoria Ceretti at 96.1, with her own Chanel Haute Couture, Balenciaga, Givenchy and Chloé runway spread this year. Both scores are published with full evidence and sourcing on their profiles — see the methodology for how the weighting works.
