Early life
Sun Feifei, known professionally as Fei Fei Sun, was born on 20 March 1989 in Weifang, Shandong, China, and studied fashion design at Suzhou University. She won the national title at Elite Model Look China in 2008, placing third internationally, a result that launched her professional career after high school.

A Chanel selection and early milestones, 2009–2012
In December 2009, Sun was selected by Karl Lagerfeld for Chanel’s Paris–Shanghai Métiers d’Art show, and made her London Fashion Week debut walking for Christopher Kane in February 2010. Her first major campaign came with Dsquared2 for Spring/Summer 2011, alongside a January 2011 Vogue Italia editorial titled "The Power of Glamour," and in Spring 2012 she became the first Asian face of Valentino.

Historic covers, 2013–2015
In January 2013, Sun became the first East Asian model to solo-cover Vogue Italia, and in September 2014 became the first East Asian model to appear on an American Vogue fold-out gatefold cover. A third solo Vogue Italia cover followed in June 2015.

Recent record, 2017–2025
Sun has served as a spokesmodel and global ambassador for Estée Lauder since 2017, alongside campaigns for Valentino, Theory, Tory Burch and Massimo Dutti that year, and an Allure cover in June 2018. She debuted on the cover of Vogue Hong Kong in 2019, and in 2024 fronted campaigns for Alaïa, Chloé, Courrèges, David Yurman, Swarovski, Tom Ford and Zara. In May 2025 she appeared on four variant covers of Vogue China, shot by Zhong Lin, and fronted Messika’s "Golden Era" campaign, photographed by Ezra Petronio. She is represented by Elite Model Management in New York and Paris.
