Early life
Laís Pereira de Oliveira, known professionally as Lais Ribeiro, was born on 5 October 1989 in Miguel Alves, Piauí, Brazil, and was training to become a nurse before modelling took over; she has a son, born in May 2008, who received an autism diagnosis in 2013. At friends’ encouragement she entered a local modelling contest in Miguel Alves in late 2009, where she was scouted by São Paulo agency Joy Model Management, relocating first to São Paulo and later to New York after being spotted by scouts there.

Victoria’s Secret and the Fantasy Bra, 2010–2017
Ribeiro made her Brazilian catwalk debut in 2011, walking a high volume of São Paulo Fashion Week shows, and signed with Victoria’s Secret as a catalogue and casual model in 2010, becoming a full Angel in 2015. In 2017 she was chosen to wear the "Champagne Nights Fantasy Bra," a $2 million Mouawad-designed piece set with roughly 600 carats of diamonds, yellow sapphires and blue topaz in 18-karat gold, worn for the first time at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show broadcast on CBS on 28 November 2017. Across her career she has walked for Dolce & Gabbana, Givenchy, Gucci and Versace, with editorial work for Elle, Harper’s Bazaar, Vogue and GQ, and multiple appearances in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.

Ribeiro married NBA player Joakim Noah in Trancoso, Brazil, in July 2022, and the couple welcomed their first child together in 2024. She fronted Calzedonia’s Spring/Summer 2024 campaign, and made her runway debut for Brazilian label PatBO at New York Fashion Week in September 2025, alongside continued editorial work for L’Officiel Brasil and Harper’s Bazaar Brazil. She is represented by Women Management in New York and Paris, alongside agencies in Milan, London, Barcelona and São Paulo.
