Early life
Qin Shupei was born on 10 August 1989 in Kaifeng, Henan, China. She attended school in New York City, where she was scouted, signing with Next Management in 2007 and making her runway debut at Rachel Roy’s New York show.

Building a runway record, 2008–2012
Qin appeared in editorials for British Elle and Vogue China in 2008, alongside Karlie Kloss and Hanne Gaby Odiele. By 2010 she was walking around 60 shows a season, and in 2011 was named to Models.com’s Top 50 models list. In 2012 she walked for Gucci, Burberry, Vera Wang, Chanel, Christian Dior and Versace, and made her Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show debut that November.

Qin was featured in Marc Jacobs’s skin-cancer-awareness campaign in 2013 and took a film role in Oh My God in 2015. She is represented by DNA Models in New York, Oui Management in Paris and VIE Models in Hong Kong.
