Early life
He Sui, known professionally as Sui He, was born on 23 September 1989 in Wenzhou, Zhejiang, China, and was a member of her city’s competitive swim team for seven years before modelling. At 17, while still in high school, she entered and won a Chinese modelling contest, then signed with a Beijing agency.

A Ralph Lauren breakthrough, 2011
He made her runway debut in the Spring/Summer 2011 season, but her breakout came that Fall/Winter, when she opened for Ralph Lauren — becoming, per her own biography, the first East Asian model to open a Ralph Lauren runway show. She was named to New York Magazine’s Fall 2011 "Top 10 Faces," and that October fronted a cover of W magazine while still a relative unknown.

Victoria’s Secret and beauty ambassadorship, 2011–2018
He walked the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show across multiple years between 2011 and 2018, the second Chinese model to do so after Liu Wen, and in 2012 was named Shiseido’s first Asian global spokesmodel. Alongside modelling she took on film and television roles between 2014 and 2020, including Temporary Family and Running Man China.

He walked Ralph Lauren’s Spring/Summer 2024 show on 10 September 2023 and appeared in De Beers’s Holiday 2023 campaign.
