Early life
Adwoa Caitlin Maria Aboah was born on 18 May 1992 in Westminster, London, to Charles Aboah, who was born and raised in Ghana, and Camilla Lowther, a photography agent connected to British nobility through the Lowther family. Her sister, Kesewa Aboah, is also a model. She was educated at Millfield School and graduated from Brunel University in 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in Modern Drama, having made her film debut in the short "To Get Her" in 2011.

A breakout year and Gurls Talk, 2017
Aboah’s breakout came in 2017: she took a role in the Hollywood film Ghost in the Shell, appeared on the December cover of British Vogue, and was named both Models.com’s Model of the Year and British GQ’s Woman of the Year, earning roughly $1 million in contracts that year. That same year, following her own recovery from depression and drug addiction, she founded Gurls Talk, a mental-health and wellbeing platform for young women that has since grown into a significant part of her public work.

Continued recognition, 2018–2020
Aboah was ranked among Models.com’s top 50 female models in 2018 and fronted a Revlon PhotoReady campaign. In September 2019 she appeared on a second British Vogue cover, for the issue guest-edited by Meghan, Duchess of Sussex. In 2020 she was named to the Powerlist of most influential Black Britons, and expanded Gurls Talk’s work during the COVID-19 pandemic through its "#CopingTogether" initiative.

Recent record, 2022–2025
Aboah has taken on television acting roles including Willow and a recurring part as "Becks" in eight episodes of Top Boy in 2022. She welcomed her first child, a daughter, on 23 August 2024, and continued television work into 2025, including a guest-judging appearance on RuPaul’s Drag Race: UK vs. the World and a reported recurring role in Too Much. Notable campaigns across her career include Calvin Klein, Fendi, DKNY, Alexander Wang and Rihanna’s Fenty x Puma.
