Early life
Charlee Fraser was born on 25 December 1995 in Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia, the middle of three siblings of White and Awabakal Indigenous Australian heritage. She was scouted by a photographer in Newcastle and modelled locally at Sydney Fashion Week before her international runway debut at Alexander Wang’s Fall/Winter 2016 show in New York, where stylist Guido Palau gave her a signature haircut for the show.

Runway rise, 2016–2018
In her Fall/Winter 2016 debut season, Fraser walked for Derek Lam, Rodarte, Brandon Maxwell, Prada, Marni, Dior, Lanvin, Balenciaga, Givenchy, Mulberry, Céline, Stella McCartney, Tom Ford and Chanel. By Spring 2018 she was named the season’s most-booked model at New York Fashion Week, and in May 2018 was ranked among Models.com’s "Top 50," the same year she fronted the April cover of Vogue Australia, alongside editorial work for Vogue, Vogue Italia, Vogue Mexico, Vogue Japan and Numéro.

A turn to acting, 2023–2025
Fraser made her film acting debut in Anyone but You (2023), playing Margaret, and followed it with a widely noted performance as Mary Jabassa, mother of the title character, in Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga (2024). In September 2025 she was cast in Hideo Kojima’s stealth video game Physint. She continues to model, walking in the Carla Zampatti Resort 2026 show at Australian Fashion Week in May 2025, and is represented by IMG Models worldwide and PARS Management in Munich.
