Early life
Jourdan Sherise Dunn was born on 3 August 1990 in London, of Jamaican, Syrian and Grenadian descent. She was discovered in 2006 at a Primark store in Hammersmith and signed with The Squad Management in London, making her international runway debut at age 16 in the Autumn 2007 New York shows.

Breaking barriers, 2008–2010
In February 2008, Dunn became the first Black model to walk a Prada runway show in over a decade, and appeared on the cover of Vogue Italia; that November she won Model of the Year at the British Fashion Awards. She was featured in Teen Vogue in November 2009, walking more than 60 shows that spring season, and returned to the runway just 10 weeks after giving birth for London Fashion Week’s Winter season in 2010.

Olympic runway and supermodel status, 2012–2015
Dunn walked in the closing ceremony of the 2012 Summer Olympics in London and made her Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show debut the same year. She won Harper’s Bazaar’s "Model of the Year" in 2013, followed by multiple American and British Vogue covers between 2013 and 2015. In 2014 she was named the face of Maybelline New York, ranked among Forbes’ top-earning models at an estimated $4 million, and given Models.com "icon" status; in 2015 she received the Glamour Inspiration Award and won a second British Fashion Awards Model of the Year title.

Business ventures and recent work
Dunn launched a kidswear collection, "Lil’ LonDunn," with Marks & Spencer in 2016, and an athletic-wear collaboration with Missguided in 2017 that was credited with boosting the retailer’s revenue by 75%. She took a television acting role in Riches in 2022. She is represented by Elite Model Management in New York and Copenhagen, The Squad in London, Women Management in Paris and Milan, and Modelwerk in Hamburg.
